Federico Moretto

"It is a cruel, ironical art, photography. The dragging of captured moments into the future; moments that should have been allowed to evaporate with the past; should exist only in memories, glimpsed through the fog of events that came after. Photographs force us to see people before their future weighed them down, before they knew their ending."Kate Morton

A photo is only real the moment you take it. By the time you look at the photo you took it has already become a lie.

Nothing is real, nothing is true, nothing is right or wrong. Even cause and effect is subject to variations. Everything is perceived, subjective and relative. The only thing that is constant is change. The past is vaguely or incompletely remembered and the future is imagined. Nothing is real save one exception. The only thing that is real is this moment.

Don't rush me, I'm an artist.
I shoot film.
