Washington Square Artist

She is one of the many people who appreciate the beautiful sites of New York City. She's an artist with her hands and mind. The ability to see something in your mind and then put it on paper the way that your mind sees it is a gift that I have always wanted. She captivated my eyes as I watched her securing her pet dog and at the same time drawing Washington's Square Park's famous monument that stands at it's entrance. With her permission I photographed this woman as she created her work and for a few minutes there was a sync between two artist doing what they do best.

First Warm Day Of 2012 In NYC.

On March 8th, 2012, New York City's temperature reached the 70's. Although we had a rather mild winter, it felt unbelievable outside in the streets. People were out enjoying the day and the parks were full of workers eating lunch and tourist enjoying the sites of this beautiful city. I was out as well with my camera soaking in the nice weather and just enjoying my city. The city that truly never sleeps.
