Ian Wilson

caught the photography bug around age 13. started with a hand-me-down from my grandfather, a Konica S rangefinder, then not long after a Konica T3. in college and for a long time after i shot with a Nikon F3HP. in 2009 i finally switched to digital with my Nikon D3000. Now a D600 with a D7000 in between.

i feel guilty for saying it, but i really like digital. i miss my smelly darkroom, but i don't miss the headache of scanning to get stuff online. and the instant feedback on the DSLR's screen is quite a game changer.

my "darkroom" now is Bibble5 and AfterShot Pro running on an Ubuntu machine.

i'm still trying to find my style or genre in photography, though i'll be ok if i never find it. i am sure my work is influenced from having taken four years of visual art, being the son of an artist, and having been a lighting designer and lighting tech for theatre for the first decade of my adult life.

thanks for looking.
