A days end. The sun sets in the city of Varanasi.

Shot during monsoon season, much of the day had consisted of terrential rain. The roads near the ghats consist less of asphault and more of hardened soil that is now soaked and softened bu the rain. The dwindiling light of the afternoon, tinted by the colour of the ground, reflects a brings an abundance of warm earthy tones to the environment. It is the end of this day in the city of Benares. A city of characterised by its religion, ghats, alleyways and streets. This is the city of Varanasi after noon.
