500px Bio Retired and disabled, I am an award-winning photojournalist and investigative reporter. I am a 2005 Pulitzer Prize Finalist photographer currently based in Venice, FL. I started my career as a street photographer in New York City Metropolitan Area in 1974. I was able to apply my skills to sports, entertainment, spot, features, wildlife, landscape and travel photography. I am also an award-winning investigative journalist exposing political, election, police and Medicare corruption among many other expose. I was the President of the Florida Press Club, spending three years on its board of directors, also holding the title of Vice-President. I also spent three years as the press club's seminar coordinator, designing, arranging speakers, venues and advertising them. I am represented by Getty Images, iStock, & 500px for my stock photography, which includes commercial photography, a new field of photography for me. I also run three blogs, and developing four more. Two are dedicated to photography. Some of the many clients I have where my work has appeared in are: Minneapolis-Star Tribune, AP, Knight-Ridder Tribune News, NY Post, NY Daily News, Village Voice, Bradenton Herald, Naples Daily News, the News Press, Tampa Tribune, Entertainment Weekly, E! Magazine, Tennis and Tennis Match Magazines. I am a trained scientist in computer science and astronomy. I have developed programming languages, operating systems, and applications, both scientific and business. I am published in this field in peer-reviewed journals. Many of my theories in computer science and astronomy have been accomplished either by me or others. Today, I still write and take photographs when able, as well as working on an Mac G5 Server where I plan to run both MAC's OS/X web server and Windows 2000 Professional Server. I am testing this on my iMac desktop to make sure that both will run in separate partitions. The goal is to give a user the choice of a UNIX FreeBSD or Windows Server.

The Yellow Rose

The Yellow Rose has the distinction of being the only rose that does not necessarily express romance. It is also a rose with multiple meanings, where care must be taken when giving someone a Yellow Rose.

A single Yellow Rose can be given to your partner as an expression of happiness and love. It means you are happy with your love and relationship.

However, the Yellow Rose also has a dark side to it. During Victorian times a single Yellow Rose was used to express jealousy and infidelity. So sending a Yellow Rose tells your partner that you are jealous, or suspect them of cheating on you. So you better send a note with the Yellow Rose, so the person receiving it knows what you mean.

History also shows that the Yellow Rose is associated with the Sun, that was worshiped in many early societies. Light and warmth, important to life on Earth, also associated with the Yellow Rose.
