When not being a professional business analyst, I am an aspiring nature and wildlife photographer. I've always had an interest in photography beginning with my first 35mm compact camera when I was 12 years old. I studied Fine Art, specialising in sculpture, at university and photography was something I employed a lot to help me both work out and record my work. I have also always held an interest in the natural world. Growing up in the countryside, being surrounded by animals and grew up watching documentaries well into the early hours of the morning. A couple of years ago, after a prolonged break from photography, I began to renew my interest and, this time, combine it with my love of the natural world. My field knowledge is, well, let's say it's improving, as is my photography technique. I'm starting to get some shots I am very pleased with and can think of nothing better to do with my days off work than being outside, in the fresh air, with my camera and whatever happens to come along.
