Gurdyal is dedicated to capturing images of the indigenous wildlife , especially birds and mammals from around the world .
He hopes to increase the awareness and appreciation of our natural world. The best way to preserve a thing of beauty is to hold the attention of the viewer and encourage a feeling of wonder and nurture. His work therefore involves tight close-ups as well as a study of animals in their environment.
As well as photographing wildlife Gurdyal has been involved in photographing landscapes which truly bring out the beauty of place, he has extensively traveled to various wildlife sanctuaries in India and Africa to photograph animals in their natural habitat.
Recently Gurdyal has involved himself with organization “Saving Asia's Vultures from Extinction - SAVE” , which discourages usage of veterinarian antibiotic 'diclofenac' in livestock which ultimately lead to decline of 99.99% of vulture population in India.
