Halden Zimmermann is a Transformational Business Leader, positioning companies to out-compete, out-innovate and outperform the market. He brings real world Strategy, Marketing and Innovation expertise with significant Lean and P&L experience helping the organizations he leads to leverage simple but game changing approaches aimed at accelerating growth. Halden is the author of several articles and best practice toolsets aimed at discussing how to solve business problems in simple ways and lead in fast paced environments. These approaches have worked globally where Halden has owned and ran full business operations in Asia Pacific, India, Europe and the Americas.
Most recently he built corporate strategy and ran complex P&Ls for fortune companies like Danaher and Cardinal Health and is currently responsible for a global technical products P&L at a Fortune 700 company.
At the beginning of Halden’s career, he started as an engineer for a tier 1 automotive manufacturing company for customers like Toyota and Honda. He held many operational roles in plant management before being sponsored for his MBA by his company. Much of his core training in process engineering, quality, lean and operations management came from the experience with the teams and customers with Valeo.
From there, Halden went onto Alcan in Chicago and was hired for a corporate role in continuous improvement. Here he was responsible for building and implementing the business system for the organization which framed how strategy, operations and lean would be implemented. He also made the transition from operations to marketing and strategy at Alcan, using continuous improvement tools to improve the commercial levers of the business.
Some of the team members Halden worked for in the past were now working at Cardinal Health and they invited him to lead the Alternate care Channel. This meant retooling the go to market strategy to envelope services around the Carinal Health product portfolio. This was hugely successful and many of the patents created under his tenure are still in use today.
