Venice - Part 3

Published April 12th, 2012

We stayed in Locanda Al Leon, A B&B in San Marco, Venice. If you are planning to go to Venice, I would recommend this place... the people there are really nice... do check it out...

When we spoke to the person in-charge, he suggested we skip Murano islands since it is just the glass factory and go to Burano... We were real lucky to have listened to him... Burano will take you to the world of colors... and while coming back to the main island we witnessed the most beautiful Venetian sunset.

To wrap it all up, we had our own romantic Gondola ride... 40 mins of pure joy... 80 EUR... but worth it, really!

This dreamlike city dates back 1400 years... with narrow streets... water everywhere and buildings with marble foundations... a real treat to our eyes...

But our B&B owner claims that it is 100% safe, no gangs, no drugs and no thefts... you can walk on the streets at anytime of the night and come back safe... it is the land of romance and nothing else... his words to be precise :)

It truly was the highlight of our trip... if you don't believe me... check out the pics...
