Thank you 500px + my feelings about the bombing

Published July 24th, 2011

So Anton Antonov featured a whole bunch of my work in this blog:

Thank you so much for that and thanks to everyone who has commented, favorited and followed me. I appreciate it very much.

Now on the subject of the Oslo bombing and Ut√łya shooting.

I and all my loved ones are fine by the way.

Yes it has been a big tragedy for the norwegian people. We certainly didn't expect something like this to happen to us.

But now that it has, it has only strengthed our feelings for another and made us just care more.

I was at work when it happend. And for those of you wondering, I work in a local newspaper. Not as a photographer, but as a graphic designer.

And we had a photographer on the scene quite early before police had arrived and things got contained.

You could barely hear over the phone what our photographer said. All we heard were mumbelings, crying (from our photographer) and the sound of the shutter.

The norwegians are a quite cold people if you don't know them. If you say hello to someone you don't know on the street they will most likely greet you back with a bewildered look.

The bombing changed that, I see people hugging all over the place and overall people just seem more open. Wether or not this will keep going on or if we will revert back to our old ways, I do not know. But I personally hope we stay the way we are now.

Makes photography a lot easier...

I don't see the point in going over what happend, we know what happend and I'd much rather let it be told through images.

I'll try to cover as much as I can, the military contain, the cleanup and the torchlight walks that will happen over the week.

Thanks for all the support and rest asure we will get through this.
