When speaking of photography, Edward Weston once said that taking photos was "a way of self-development, a means to discover and identify oneself with all the manifestations of basic forms – with nature , the source."
To me, photography has always been about self-expression, mingled with a desire to better understand the world we live in and my place in it.
I developed an interest in photography at an early age in San Francisco, USA. Although my parents recall me walking around with their camera at the age of 3, I didn't get a camera of my own until the age of 15. My eldest brother had moved to Europe and it was in Paris, and Rome that I began to understand how much I loved making photographs. My interest in Europe eventually led me to move to France and later Switzerland. At the time, I photographed a lot of musical performances and events held by organizations affiliated with the United Nations. Although I love many forms of photography, I am most taken with street and portrait photography
