My love for photography happened quite accidently. I had a hp 935 point and shoot, 5 megapixel camera that I was very proud of. I loved that thing. I took so many shots of my children and it served it's purpose. I read everything I can so that I can learned how to take great pics but the only control I had were the presets on the camera, so in reality the camera had control not me. I couldn't understand why I just could not take anything other than a snap shot. I begged for a new "fancy" camera and got my d60. I set it on auto and began taking pictures and waiting for the magic to happen. Guess what? No magic. lol, all though larger and crisp, my photos still looked like snapshots, minus those pesky dead pixels on my old cam. I put the camera away for a year.

I took the camera out one day and just started to play with the settings. Reading and playing.... and one day it happened. I was in my room, the sun was setting and the light was beautiful. I tried it,on manual and adjusted the exposure for what I though was right, and there it was, the sun beams just like I saw them. I was hooked. I made this picture, not the camera. Guess all that reading paid off. This was in 2007. So from that moment on, my camera is always with me, practicing and deleting, setting and predicting, reading, learning. I have learned so much and know that there is so much more. I would like to put all that I have learned into practice and create something magical.
