Michael Appelmans

As a young child growing up in Switzerland I coveted my mother's twin lens Rollei - she bought me a Kodak Brownie in the hopes that I would stop asking to use her prize possession. I received various hand me downs from relatives till my parents gave me a Kodak rangefinder for a birthday. I took photos mostly on trips, until the advent of digital photography and joining Flickr, when I became addicted to making images of anything that caught my eye without having to invest in film and printing. I love exploring other peoples images and have a huge list of contacts on Flickr I follow daily. As a web designer by trade I occasionally get to shoot for web content, but most of my work is for my own enjoyment. I look forward to following photographers here and learning from all of you.
