So I've fallen nearly two months behind in my personal "once-a-week" projects and thought I ought to stop making excuses and just do it. So tonight, I experimented with self portraiture, something I've rarely, if ever, messed around with.
I figured, since I have an Alienbee flash now that's getting very little use, why not? I also experimented with the Creative Light strip light softbox I have as well. Also tried rim lighting and hair lighting with my two smaller flashes, but it turns out being precise and exact with no assistants and booms makes things difficult.
Still, no more excuses. I'm not happy with the result, but I'm going to post anyways, because you learn from failure and not every shot I'm going to be proud of.
My conclusion though: Stick to making *other* people look good.
