I'm fairly new to the wonderful world of photography, as I picked up a camera in 2008 on my first trip to NYC. I took 400 pictures on my small Sony Cybershot, point and shoot, digital camera and I haven't looked back. I have been shooting avidly for the last three years and finally I upgraded to my first DSLR in April of 2010. As much as I love my Canon EOS 50D, I've recently become very interested in film photography. I was intrigued when I found a Canon AE-1P at my father-in-law's estate sale. Even though it was not functioning, I picked up another one at a local camera store and thus began my new love affair with film. I've only recently begun to experiment and my camera arsenal now includes numerous vintage models, lomography cameras and Polaroids. I look forward to exploring film and photography in even greater detail than I already have.

I prefer shooting a variety of things, including travel photography, street photography, urban decay and landscapes, architecture and abandoned structures and things. However, I'm particularly drawn to making ordinary objects look interesting or finding ways to abstract them.
