Ever since she picked up photography in September 2009, you will hardly catch Jamie without her camera.
A Visual Storyteller based in Asia, Jamie turns her lens towards documentary photography as she feels that there is always an incredible story to tell behind every image. Her photography is driven by her love for beauty as she strives to captures images that resonates with people.
Rocking out to old tunes, she dreams of traveling to different continents to experience and document the local culture and lifestyles.
Jamie believes in giving back to the world and thus volunteers her time and skills for organizations such as the Singapore Red Cross, various animal welfare groups, and is a volunteer mentor photographer at Photovoice.
Named “10 of Singapore’s best Young Photographers” by CNNgo, she was selected to take part in the inaugural Junior Shooting Home Workshop 2011 and was chosen by the National Arts Council to represent Singapore as a photojournalist during the annual ASEAN Youth Culture Camp 2011, which took place in Magaleng, Indonesia.
When she is not traveling or shooting, Jamie blogs; sings in the International Festival Chorus; plays her cello; drinks tea and tries her best to not expand her Asian Ball Jointed Dolls collection.
