Kate Scott

Kate Scott's botanical studies are exhibited internationally and have appeared in both the Saatchi Gallery, London and Italian Vogue. Often staged simply against a black background reminiscent of display cases in natural history museums or curiosity cabinets they evoke the pictorial execution of northern european art in the baroque period.

Post production involves digitally painting the subject to capture the tiniest detail, often invisible to the naked eye. A single piece can take hundreds of hours to complete and with this celebration of perfection the pictures appear to reinvent reality.

This year saw the first collaboration with esteemed London designer, "Suzannah" on her Frill Seeker couture collection. The flowers were meticulously reproduced onto the finest Italian silk by her expert printers at Lake Como. The resulting pieces have been so well received that a second collaboration is now underway for Spring 2016.
