I am currently a freelance photographer in the Denver area. I was formerly a photographer in Yuma, Arizona for the Yuma Sun and the Northwest Herald in Crystal Lake, Illinois. I fell in love with photography during my first photo class in high school and haven't put down my camera since. I went on to study photojournalism at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana and graduated in 2008. In 2010 I decided to take the year off and move to Kenya in East Africa. Having studied abroad there as a undergrad I fell in love with the country and its' people and knew I wanted to go back. Photography is fascinating to me because it gives me the power to freeze a moment in time and tell a story with that photograph. Thank you for looking at my site and please feel free to contact me at any time.

Just got back from 2 weeks in Vietnam and what a experience it was. We started out in Ho Chi Minh in the south and made our way all the way up to the north ending in Hanoi. I loved taking pictures of some of the locals along with the amazing scenery that Vietnam offers. I hope to make it back to Southeast Asia in the near future to experience it even more. Here are a few of my favorites. More will come in the next several days.

It has been way to long since I last showed some pictures that I have taken. I am in a slight transition period with my life as I will begin graduate school in January. I will also be moving to New Zealand sometime in January as well, so expect many more photos from my time over there.

This past weekend I was in Seattle to run a race and here are a few shots from a few different places that I visited while there. Seattle is beautiful and I hope to make it back there in the new future. It also has some of the most interesting people to photograph.

UFC in Chicago

Published January 26th, 2013

Well I am not in a happy mood due to my memory card going on the fritz and lost all of the images from the other fights I shot at UFC on Fox at the United Center in Chicago. At least I got some good images from the only fight that made it off my card. Unfortunately it was a fight that had nothing to do with why I was actually shooting the fights.

September Slump

Published October 8th, 2012

Now that September has come and gone, I felt that picture wise I was in a little bit of a slump for the month, not getting to many pictures that I liked. I try to be as creative with my pictures as possible, getting new angles and moments that define a certain story, but sometimes I feel I came up flat with some of my ideas.

Now that October is here, it is a fresh start for me to come up with new ideas.
