Just a small time computer geek who enjoys capturing life around me when I can. I have an extremely complex and fancy computer setup but just a semi-basic camera. I have always felt that the term, "Go big or go home" is for those who enjoy failure. Instead I like to start small and slowly move up with my equipment so that I can slowly understand and enjoy the features involved. My previous camera was a Sony DSC-W350. Not too many features and a lot of color noise especially in the darker areas. I decided to spend double the cash this time and research for something a little faster and more complex such as my Nikon Coolpix S6100. Now I am highly aware this isn't a massive upgrade from my previous camera but personally so far I can feel a difference. Plus there are additional features that I am exctited to learn about. My ultimate goal within a year is to have my very first Digital SLR. I just want to make sure I am 100% ready to understand and handle the capabilities of such a device.
Other than my technical history, I am just your average college student studying Computer Science at IUPUI. So if I am not working on papers or programming you will often find me toying around with my camera. Taking hundreds of pictures of the same object with different settings to understand what all I can do. I find it to be a blast. Oh and I can't forget to mention that I spend a lot of time checking out some of the outstanding photographs I see on this site. It is awesome to see there is such passion still around in the world of photography.
