Retired Engineer, & Photojournalist; use a variety of cameras, including Leica & Hasselblad, and lately Fuji rangefinder. I prefer Landscape, and technical subjects including Architecture. Tried digital, not really impressed, but use it for wildlife. Print my own work.
I collect a lot of older film cameras, and try to use them all, dependent on condition; my favourite was a Hasselblad superwide, with the 38mm Biogon lens- unfortunately I had to sell it when moving house.
Currntly I use Fuji, withe 90mm F3.5 lens, A Hasselblad with a 100mm Planar, and a 40mm CF FLE, a Leica M6 with a 28mm F2.8, and a number of Minolta AF and manual camera bodies, with associated lenses. For my nature work, I use a Konica/minolta 7D, with a 400mm APO 4.5 Hi-speed lens and 1.4 converter.
I convert most files to digital on a venerable old Mac G4, and scan on a Nikon Coolscan, also an Epson Flatbed 4490 for 6X6 trannies (excellent`)
I write illustrated articles for the Leica Newsletter, perhaps 8 or 9 times per year- usually about cameras and lenses, alternatively photo shoots using a variety of other gear
including printers and scanners.
Currently shoot approx.8 or 9 rolls of film a month, including digital shoots, mainly wild life, and various subjects using medium format. I do find it is getting more difficult to get transpaerncy film, though; I tend to buy in packs of 5, use, then re order.
