I only recently took up landscape photography back in 2016, before that I solely pursued deep sky astrophotography, capturing distant galaxies, nebulae and planets.
After getting restless with having to spend weeks and sometimes months capturing a single image, and the technical complexities involved with photographing something 2.5 million light years away from a planet spinning at 1000mph, I took upon a new challenge.
I put aside the power-cooled astronomy cameras and got myself my first DSLR for landscape photography. I wasn't fortunate enough to be born in the Scottish Highlands or sweeping hills of Yorkshire, but I've always loved the outdoors and nature. Instead, I embark on mini adventures away from the flat farm fields and scattered towns of my hometown in Kent, UK, in search of something wilder.
My photography is about hunting for moments and scenes in their rawest natural form possible, isolating landscape as untouched as it comes, even if I'm capturing it from a crowded place. You'll rarely see a person (other than me maybe), building, lamppost, fence or road in an image of mine, and that's intentional.
Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy the images. If you want to say hi, feel free to drop me an e-mail below; or grab me on one of my social places.
