Hello and thanks for the visit. If I can be of help in any photographic way please use the contact page to get in touch and I’ll do my best to get back to you as quickly as possible.
I'm inspired by the unique beauty of the coastal fringes of the Moray Firth in Scotland but more specifically by the area surrounding Lossiemouth which sits on the edge of the firth and is where I've lived all my life. I was recently featured in 'On Landscape' and a more detailed insight into my photography can be found here.
In 2003 I was presented with the James Payton Memorial Medal by the Royal Meteorological Society (Scottish Centre) for what was judged to be the outstanding weather photograph (world) of that year. I've provided images for various websites and publications of organisations including BBC News, The University of Edinburgh, Scottish Natural Heritage, Scottish Nature Photography, Benromach Distillery and The Moray Council. I'm also a contributor to the Open Source Photography Guides Project and the author of
A Photographers Guide to Lossiemouth.
I'm pleased to have had recent successes in The Scottish Nature Photography Awards, The Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival Photographic Competition, The UK Wildlife Photography Competition and The National Countryside Photography Competition.
Too many to mention really but up there on my list is Ian Cameron, David Ward, Andrew Nadolski, Hans Strand, Joe Cornish, and Martin Bailey.
My work has been exhibited at:
Scottish Parliament Edinburgh, SNH HQ Building Inverness, RSPB Loch of Strathbeg Crimond, RSPB Vane Farm Kinross, RSPB Lochwinnoch Paisley, Scottish Nature Photography Fair Perth, Scottish Whisky Experience Edinburgh, Lochlomond Shores Balloch, Johnstons of Elgin in Elgin, Macdonald Highland Resort Aviemore and Elgin Library in Elgin.
If you wish to license the use of any of my existing images, or commission new images for a particular project, again please get in touch by using the contact page and I'll be happy to provide you with costs etc.
