Hello. In the Fall of 2010, I took my first trip to Tibet. I had figured if I were to go to such a place, I would need a much better camera than my mediocre point-and-shoot. It didn't take me long to justify buying my first DSLR. What I didn't know would happen on that trip was that I would fall in love with photography. I've always been interested in people and their stories, in the subtle movements that are caught in the blink of a moment. You could say that the camera became an excuse for me to explore these things further. For me, using a camera instantly became natural. Once I learned how to operate the machine, all I had to do is do what I already have been doing my whole life: noticing the unnoticed. I quickly realized all that must be done was to put the lens between my eye and what was already in front of me. I use photography as a simple excuse to engage with others in meaningful ways.
