Recently due to good fortune and a business trip I was given the opportunity to visit and explore the city of Sedona and the surrounding large rocks. These rocks, which were more boulders and entire mountains, were all a vivid red orange making for one of the most picturesque places I've ever been.
Unfortunately, due to my poor photography skills and a bad case of cloud cover nearly the entire day the photos came out fair at best. It didn't help that at random intervals throughout the day color would completely disappear as if someone were desaturating the entire world with a slider in Lightroom. This must have been a local phenomenon because nobody outside of this area experienced this as far as I can tell.
Anyhow grab a glass of whiskey, a marlboro cigarette, sit back in your saddle, don your thickest southern accent and get ready to say "This truly is God's Country" over and over again.
