“A picture is worth a thousand words”, is one of the most profoundly true statements and one that is one of the cornerstone of photography. Photography has the power to stimulate the feelings of the viewer, to communicate so much without words and to immortalize a moment in time, which can be shared and impact the lives of so many others. I guess this power of photography is what drew me to this artistic way of self expression. It started out as just a mere hobby for me in my teens which grew even stronger as I got older. My passion for capturing the beauty of the world around me and the people that bring soul to their environment drove me to pursue my love for this artistic expression on a more serious level.
My photographic journey began from before the advent and the popularity of the digital camera, but was limited by the expenses involved in experimenting with film. As digital cameras grew in popularity and decreased in expense an avenue was open for my to pursue my passion without the limits of film technology. However, as time went on, I outgrew the usefulness of the various point and shoots that I had been learning with, and I wanted more, yes more freedom to experiment and to grow. This urge to be even better at this art finally drove my to abandon the world of point and shoot and to purchase my first DSLR camera. This was an expensive move but one I have never regretted as this opened an avenue for me to explore the world of photography and to improve my skills exponentially!
I have never considered photography as a mere career, it’s more than that, it’s a passion, an insatiable love for this powerful artistic way of self expression and as a God given talent that I could not hide. It is this love for photography that has kept me form concentrating on just one specific type of photography. Not wanting to limit myself and my potential to grow in the art of photography I enjoy and excel in many types of photography including but not limited to Portraiture, Fashion, Wedding, Landscape and Product Photography.
It is my dream to continue to mature in this challenging, yet rewarding art form, and to wow and stimulate the emotions of those who view my photography.
