Joe Palisi

Hi, my name is Joe Palisi and I am a graphic designer and hobbyist photographer in Connecticut. I have always had an interest in photography and as a kid I remember sitting in the basement with my father helping him put slides together for his photo competitions, long before the digital age. He was a really great photographer who won many competitions. My father passed away before the photog bug got me. I wish I had decided to get into this a lot sooner while he was still alive, but I am sure he is with me guiding me through the complex world of photography.

A few years ago I made the jump to my first DSLR, I bought the Canon T2i and am loving it. My knowledge of photography up to this point has been limited to my point and shoot cameras, I would play around with some of the setting but nothing serious. Now that I am learning about making a proper exposure through aperture, shutter speed and ISO, I have noticed a big difference in the quality of the photos. (I suppose my new camera has something to do with it). Some photographs work, some don’t — you’re witnessing a permanent work-in-progress! Please free to comment on any of the photographs, any criticism good and bad is welcome.
