Nourlangie Rock

Nourlangie Rock is situated in Kakadu National Park, Northern Territory, Australia. I was there recently on a “family” trip, not getting a lot of time to photograph this incredible ancient rock, full of Aboriginal paintings and fantastic stripes of colour, running down its side. I assume that the colour variation in the stripes was created by various “plant matter” working as a powerful dye, and decorating this rock like nothing I have ever seen before. It was 38 degrees that day, so I got “dragged” away much too soon
