John Secrist

I started photography in 1969 with a Kodak Instamatic camera given to my by a friend. My father bought me a Nikon F from a pawn shop and I used it during high school. I was taught, by a local newpaper photographer, how to develop film and make prints. The smell of stop bath and watching the print appear before my eyes in that darkroom was the magic that I had to perform... I've worked as an IT Specialist but always used my photography skills to help with my non-photographic career. Now that I am retired we travel and enjoy life capturing the moments as we experience them.
