In Through the Out Door

Living in Texas means just one thing during the summer: very hot and dry weather. I've never been one to enjoy the heat, and now that I'm 50, I dislike it more than in years past. To combat this inconvenience to my beloved outdoor shooting, I've been lighting things up indoors while practicing new techniques and various ideas and concepts. This will continue until the cooler weather returns, which will be sometime in October. I hope you enjoy the change of venue as much as I am right now.

More Shooting in 2012

One of my decisions for 2012 is to do more shooting: wildlife, landscape, people, city, anything. Just get out and shoot more so that I can get better at this thing called "photography." I picked up the following quote yesterday: "Everyone wants to be a rock star, but no one wants to learn the chords." Well, I don't want to be a rock star, but I do want to be a better photographer. There's no way to do it without shooting more and putting into practice new things learned. I invite you to join me on this journey.
