Jonas Nordlund is an amateur photographer from northern Sweden, whose interest in taking photography further than compact camera snapshots was born as he got home from his trip to China back in 2008. The poor quality of his nighttime photos of The Forbidden City was a disappointment, and this was the final straw that made him purchase his first DSLR – a Nikon D90.
Jonas is particularly interested in nature photography, the occasional buildings from times past, and capturing spontaneous, honest emotions. Taking his photography to new frontiers, he's interested in exploring street photography and documenting the tip of the iceberg of events that take place in what we normally call everyday life.
Through experimentation in attempts to discover his favorite styles of photography, he has found a special fondness for shooting in the shorter focal lengths, and enjoys his ultra-wide angle lens – the Sigma 8-16mm – and his Nikkor 35mm lens. His most recent camera is a Fujifilm FinePix X100, which completes his lineup.
