Joshua Wyborn

Why monotone? I find monotone more interesting than colour as you get to see the image behind the coloured mask and the stories behind the image. I am also colour blind, this does not mean I cannot see colour it simply means my mind gets confused by some colours. I do not think about colours I think about tones. It is very hard to explain, I see in colour but I do not process it as colour I think about its tones. I also find monotone a abstraction of the world we see, therefore making us look deeper into the image and in its abstractness finding more truth. A beautiful contradiction.
I am studying photography at the university of Cumbria from September 2009-12. Where I hope to learn a lot and to grow within my photographic world.

Please feel free to search the galleries and to contact me.

"Joshua Wyborn is an exciting new photographer whose work has the spirit of the classic black and white masters of the past. His love of photography is infectious and can impress you even before you've seen his first image! Joshua is a photographer to keep your eye on." - Cole Thompson
