I started to get into photography as a passing interest, and it didn't really progress beyond that due to the price of film and developing.
Then came digital.
I bought my first digital camera with specific intentions, and within a couple of years I upgraded to the Nikon D200, which I still have today. My appreciation for the art of photography grew faster than my skill, but my skill is slowly catching up.
I happen to live in the Pacific Northwest of the US, where we are lucky enough to be surrounded by some of the most amazing landscape which can be found. From the Gifford Pinchot National Forest with Mt St Helens to the Olympic Peninsula down to Crater Lake and up into the panhandle in Idaho. It's all fantastic.
This passion for photography has newer competition in my newer passion for motorcycling. I frequently mix the two, taking rides out to the corners of this wondrous area with my camera in tow. It makes for a great way to do both of my favorite things.
Come on out to the PNW and see the sights, bring your motorcycle and your camera, and don't forget to enjoy yourself.
