Jim Remington, Photographer & Patriot. Meet Jim Remington, Photographer & Patriot behind J.W. Remington Photographics! Jim's love affair with photography goes back more than 20 years. It served as a creative outlet and diversion for him during his Navy days around the globe and evolved into a passion and the foundation of his business. During his years in uniform it was natural to document his time, service, activities, but most importantly his global friends and family. As his twilight years in the U.S. Navy set upon him, Jim steadily built his portfolio and business to chart the course for his next adventure. He now serves his photography clients with the same passion and commitment once reserved for the nation. There is little more satisfying to him than capturing a precious moment in time and preserving it for the ages. He is a photographer of broad skill and experience, in the studio and out.

THE OLIVIA ACT, NAMED FOR CHILD KILLED IN NEWTO...

Published December 19th, 2012

I wanted to take a quick moment to make you aware of the Olivia Act, provide you some information about it, and make an offer for a family. The Olivia Act was named for one of the children killed in Newtown, Connecticut. It was started by Leslie Spurlock Photography. Olivia’s family had family pictures taken a short time before she was killed. Those pictures are precious and now priceless to them. Upon hearing this, Leslie was moved to give away a family photo shoot and has challenged other photographers to do the same (thanks to Victoria Stapleton of La Vita Photo for first bringing this to my attention, through La Vita Photo she's already made the same pledge).

We go about our daily lives and sometimes we don’t take the time or have the resources to have family photos taken. I will be taking nominations for a family who you think would appreciate this gift. This session will take place after the New Year. I will be taking nominations until December 31st. Please e-mail the family's ...
