Up North

Photographs from a few summers spent in the woods of Northern Wisconsin.

A view of the lake

Early morning in Wisconsin; the lake is completely still as the sun works its way up behind the trees.

Catch of the day

An evening fishing trip concludes with a view of the sunset with the night's dinner waiting for preparation in the foreground.

Sun goes down

The wild Wisconsin sunset casts a spectrum of colors upwards from the horizon, ranging from deep blues to fiery oranges.

Stars above

Once the sun disappears and the night sets in, the light from thousands of starts illuminates the sky.

The dark road

In the woods, however, the starlight fails to penetrate the treetops. Imagine opening your eyes as wide as you can manage, only to see the darkest, deepest black that you have ever known.
