Forever locking moments into memories...
-I began taking photos as a way to remember things, laughter that had been forgotten... then I began taking photos for others to enjoy that same memory being captured, I've been hooked ever since.
-I specialize in all natural light, I use intense angles, I work in full manual settings, I love what I capture and I have a passion for beautiful disasters... Throughout elementary school I use to be part of "The Hawk" newspaper staff in Parker, Colorado and it was there where I found a harbor for my love for art in writing. I always had an instinct to pull out my disposable camera that would capture moments that their memories inspired me to share the frames powerful energy to help that same lovely feeling I get, come back to others every time I snap that shutter. As that ship sailed I came upon a spiritual calling for image processing in a dark room as I was mistakenly put into a higher grade photography class in high school, learning the basics of in camera settings without photoshop in mind was amazing. During college in Santa Cruz & Truckee, California, I walked around with a Polaroid attached, Trigonometry class made me think of how to incorporate dramatic angles into my pictures to make them 'not so plain', and so that addiction was born... It was then where my true passion bloomed - I began to research & find inspiration in others artwork in all forms of media. I then put my own individual imagination & creativity to work. Always wanting a better camera that I could explore with, I always had my fathers camera in my hands... Watching my dads enjoyment of still frames he captured during my baseball games made me want to see things his way. So I did my first shoot with a model with my fathers camera that he eventually gave up trying to get back & let me inherit. Many rolls of film later, I saved all my money and blessed my life with the best friend I always wanted, a digital camera. I have had mentors along the way & friends of the trade who have kindly held my hand into the gauntlet of competition. Capturing my own memories & visions has turned into capturing memories in time for others in the most amazing transition. Here I am still exploring my professional camera & learning more about new things within the realm of photography everyday. I am thankful for my visions & humbled by my own images sometimes, but mostly I am grateful for being able to share my captured life's memories with everyone who appreciates it.
