Michael Ryan

born and raised in Toronto and after 30+ plus years have finally found my love of photography. One day i was fooling around with my camera on my cell phone using camera360, instagram and was amazed by the cool shots I could take of random things….so after about a week of playing with my cell phone taking pictures of people on the subway a friend suggested I get a real camera…so the countless hours of looking up all the different types of cameras started……and when it was all said and done I fell in love with My Olympus mirror less E-PL1 (still don’t know how to fully use it) I picked up a couple of photography books for dummies and went out shooting. no real training or someone to show me the ropes just a lot of Blog reading on street photography by erickim and others and looking at street photography

I think its really cool to capture little moments that the rest of the world just let pass them by and not think anything of it….I get alot of questions as to why the photos I like to take the most are of people. Because everyone has a story. often times you see a photo of someone and you think wow what a great shot look at her hair or look at his t-shirt…but the longer you look at it, it changes from just a photo to something more. You wonder “whats this persons story” “where were they going?” “i wonder where they got the funky hat i bet it has a story all it own. Then you notice the wrinkles on their face the little speck of dirt on their cheek, the peach fuzz on their chin…. its all the small things that tell the story really you just have to take a moment a look. That is what to me at least Photography is all about capturing the views that go unnoticed and putting you own story behind it
