Back in the middle of winter I had a model shoot booked for a Saturday morning in the studio. Even for the UK we were having a particularly cold one so I had the alarm set to go put the heating on in the studio a good few hours before the shoot.
Tick followed tock, the arranged time of the shoot passed by, no phone calls, no sms messages, nothing.... don't you just hate being let down without the decency of contact!
So here I am in an empty studio (albeit nice and warm) and decided to start shooting some of the props I had planned to use. It actually turned out better than I guess the model shoot would have, I had plenty of free time to experiment with the placement of props, placement of light sources and pros/cons of colour vs mono... guess there is always a silver lining
The downside of the experience is that it put me off doing model shoots, it only takes a couple of unreliable encounters to dampen your spirits, now eight months later I am toying with the idea of trying again...
