Drops on a Solid Surface

Published October 30th, 2011

Discovering new Dimensions in this Genre ...

I have done similar shot with a Water Surface, but with these are the Light very hard to handle. When you set the light bad you see the units under the Water.

Now this has an end . Another great German Water drop photograph ( Heinz Maier ) has the idea to use a solid surface.

It makes really fun to work with it. It´s a bit messy after each shot, so i´m more on clean up the Surface than on taking Pictures, but the Results are worth the cleaning action ;)

i Show you some of the Water Surface Pictures too. So you can see the difference between these two types. With the Water Surface you have near no ripples but with the solid Surface there are NO ripples at all.

On my Homepage i have many Information about the Water drop photography, but only in German.

On my Flickr Stream i show the most of my Setups with a little description in English.

Hope you like ...

A new chapter in Water drop Photography

Published September 11th, 2011

I think everybody knows Pictures of Water drops falling into a tray of Water.

With these simple shots i have Start my Passion in taking such kind of images. Now after 1 1/2 Year of Hard Work , improve my skills and setups for the Water drops . I have reach a new chapter in this genre .

At the beginning of 2011 i found a way to create jumping spouts. With these technique i´m able to create very tall Shapes ( about 10- 20 cm High ) after a few month ,i told my secret and now many other people makes the XXL Splashes.

But this was not the end of my journey with the drops. I shot them with Pellets, water streams or blow them with a air stream to unseen shapes. Work with 3 Valves to create Colorful splashes and so on. At the Moment i have many Ideas to realize , but time is rare ;)

For More Information is here are an Interview in English (its an free PDF file)

And for the German user are here a little Article of my Techniques with the water drops .
