Harry is a two-time Emmy award winning TV journalist. Most recently he anchored The 10 O'Clock News at My9 (WWOR), and The 6 PM News on Fox 5 New York (WNYW). Before joining Fox News in 1997, Harry anchored Eyewitness News This Morning and Eyewitness News at Noon on WABC-TV in New York.
Throughout his 40 year career in broadcasting, he has covered every presidential race since Jimmy Carter. (While C.I.A. director, George H.W. Bush once told Harry that he would never run for President of the United States.) With his love of politics, Harry was particularly excited to cover several Democratic and Republican National political conventions. He reported on then-Senator Barack Obama's stepping into the national spotlight in Boston in 2004, and his nomination in the Presidential campaigns of 2008 and 2012.
Harry reported on other major national news events such as the launch of the first Space Shuttle, Challenger, the bombing of the World Trade Center and the September 11th attack on the Twin Towers in New York. As a former weatherman, Harry was always called upon to cover hurricanes: his most memorable experience was his 13- hour non-stop anchoring stint during Superstorm Sandy in 2012. His hosting and writing of two follow-up specials on the recovery have won critical acclaim.
Harry began his career in broadcasting as a news photographer. He continues to follow that passion today, self- publishing more than a half dozen travel photography books: (Kenya, The Galapagos, Italy, Greece, and London). Harry graduated from Albright College with a degree in psychology and biology. He is a recipient of the college's Distinguished Alumni Award.
As an avid musician and former music teacher, Harry has composed music for the off- Broadway play, Deceptions. He also co-produced Gavin DeGraw's first CD, "LIVE at Wilson's".
A long time, self-confessed computer geek, Harry runs his own company, "Martin-Software," which specializes in building web sites and optimizing clients' media footprints on the web. He also provides media training for select Fortune 500 clients. Harry lives in Cresskill, New Jersey, with his wife Sarah Wallace, an investigative reporter for WABC-TV , and their two children, Sara and James. The family is owned by three Vizslas.
