Jessica Meckmann

My name is Jessica Meckmann and the only person on the planet with that name – pretty cool when googling yourself.

I am currently living part-time in Naples, Florida and in a small town in central Switzerland .

A little photographic history of myself:

I bought my first camera in 1991 – the Canon EOS Rebel (Canon EOS 1000 in Europe). I entered the Digital world in 2001 (after my first son was born) with the glorious Minolta Dimage 7 – a 5.2 Megapixel camera. It was amazing for its time and I produced my Biggest Print Ever with that Minolta. In 2005 I switched back to Canon and purchased the Digital Rebel XT (EOS 350D in Europe) shooting with the kit-lens and an old 70-300 f/3.5-5.6 which I bought in the early 90′s for the analog SLR – this lens was also the reason why I decided for Canon and not Nikon. In 2007 I bought my first real lens, the Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 which really pulled me in. Nearly 10 years later, I switched from Canon to Sony because Canon seems to have lost its sense for innovation.
