"How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving; tolerant of the weak; and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these."
~ George Washington Carver~
I've been playing with cameras since 1976, when we bought our first SLR, a manual Canon FTB. We had many lenses for all uses, and even got to a point where we had a Black and White, and Color darkrooms.
Then film when out and we happily made the transition to digital with one of the first digital cameras, a Sony Cybershot DSC-S70. I still have it and use it at times.
Then several years ago I wanted a camera that I could do more with, but not lug all those heavy lenses with. So we bought a Canon Powershot SX30 IS.
I love to take all kinds of pictures, and find myself drawn to high contrast and lots of color. Its a great hobby to me..
Even after all these years I am still learning, as I go along, and enjoy dabbling and experimenting with textured overlays now and then to satisfy the artsy side of my personality. The digital age allows you so much more flexibility with your images and I love that part of it. Either Traditional imagery or on the Artsy Painterly side, how/when ever the mood strikes me its all about expressing myself visually. And seeing others do the same. :-)
Please don't be afraid to critique my images and offer advice. I hope to learn and improve with everyone's help here.
