My name is Michael Anthony. I believe that the value of photography as a means of communication is dependent on the individual standing behind the camera and not the camera itself. The way that photography has impacted history and that of the individuals who have interpret what each photo means has inspired me to pursue photography.
Photography has taught me the capacity to observe the visual surroundings around me sharply and carefully as well to think more critically. Photography isn’t about what you capture behind the lens but how one’s inner thoughts and feelings can relate to that in front of the lens.
I love photography. Innovating, stimulating, beautiful.
There’s something therapeutic about the way you hold a camera in your hand. To have complete manual control at your finger tips, it’s overwhelming. And the view finder is not through the lens but through the observatory of your eyes.
It’s up to you and your imagination to contemplate what you want in the shot. Despite modern day technology and the automations of everything, some of us still like the feeling of manual work. Purchasing any camera is hard to quantify by merely reading off the spec lists. Photography is something you do with your heart rather than your head.
