In the beginning of 2010 I was invited to attend the wedding of a very good chinese friend at his home deep in the Hunan province, located about 1000 km (620 miles) west of Shanghai.
The ceremony lasted four days, which were one of the most exciting days in my life. Life in the small village was like 100 years ago with water from fountains and bullocks working on the fields.
I was the first non-chinese visitor for decades. The food was really unconventional but delicious.
Enjoy the photos of this wedding event.
There will be a second blog post about life in Hunan province of China.
On this occasion I took also this photo: http://500px.com/photo/4923990
