Miguel Bruno

Miguel Almeida Bruno is 54 years of age and grew up in Angola. He has an extensive knowledge of wildlife and ecotourism in Africa, having worked in Mauritania, Guinea-Bissau, Cameroon, Namibia, Zambia, Tanzania and Mozambique.
With 24 years experience of living and working in this continent he has a solid understanding of what is required to operate a successful business in Africa. Miguel has a real passion for Anti poaching and has run successful patrols in several African countries. He is Advanced Rifle Handling and is able to walking with Dangerous Game on Foot.
He has led Bruno Safaris (World Wildlife Adventures) for 12 years for many destinations in African Continent. He managed the Anura Club Lodge in Guinea Bissau. He was projects director of Wildlife Investments and Projects LTD, a Spanish company. During five hears, he was a professional consultant for the travel agency Geotur for African destinations. He has been a prospector for Globe Discovery, a consulting and wildlife development Management Company and he has headed anti poaching controls in several countries.
Since July 2010 Miguel is promoter and Operations Manager of a new concept company with Bushfind, African routes & River Safaris and Mozaic Travel, both based in Mozambique and operate in all Southern African countries.
Miguel is comfortable dealing with people of diverse cultural, ethnic and ideological backgrounds and has worked in challenging environments and in times of political turmoil and even tense conflicts. Educated at Military School, Miguel went on to excel in Portugal’s prestigious Regimento de Comandos.
He has academic education in Interior and Graphic Design as well as training in First Aid, mechanics, navigation, radio transmitting and catering. He is bi-lingual (Portuguese/Spanish) and speaks English, basic French and Creole. He’s favourite hobbies are horse riding and photography.
