Silly

This gal was acting very funny and making silly faces at her partner, who doesnt seem to be bothered by it. Their dynamic behavior on the stage made for a very interesting picture.
Exposed for the sky, subject illuminated by flash.

Anime World

Remember the Cosplay contest I spoke about in the image 'Adieu'? well just to give you an idea of the length these guys go to dress up, I have included this image as part of my story. Some of these folks work on their own costumes. Now thats dedication! I thought I was in Anime world. It sure was a lot of fun, both for us and them.
PS:I like that guys hair on the far right, think Ill go with that hair do next.

Okinawan Drum Dance

This was the last dance performance of the day. It was performed by the Ryukyukoku Matsuri Daiko group. They started drumming from one end of the festival to the other, marching along the way and grabbing lots of attention from nearby vendor stalls. They ended up in the performance stage area where they performed some more dance move. What a way to end an excellent festival.

Vendor Stall

As I mentioned earlier, the Japan Houston Festival not only has acts but also stalls that are setup by different vendors. These stalls include food, refreshments and Japanese decorative items. This shot is of one such stall that hosted different decoration items along with Japanese music. I like the grin on the vendor's face

Until next year

These young ladies posed for me for a quick picture. But as they started walking away I quickly took another picture which is what I am sharing with you here. As they walk away to return to their daily lives, the festive activities of the day come to an end.
Many thanks for all the volunteers that help make this festival a success year after year. It is due to their effort that the Japan Fest has grown to become one of the most loved and highly anticipated annual event in Houston.
