The place where you want to be, this is Caramoan Islands!

The Caramoan Peninsula has gained tourism popularity in recent years. After the place has been featured in the news and local television programs, local and foreign travelers started to explore the beaches of the peninsula. Caramoan is one of the National Parks of the Philippines.

Popular tourist destinations are the Caramoan National Park, the Centro, and Gota Beach, and popular activities include diving, swimming, snorkeling and spelunking.

Gota Beach

Gota Beach (Caramoan):
Composed of two caves called Little Gota and Big Gota, which are the main attractions of the Caramoan National Park. Located in Barangay Paniman about five kilometers from the town proper, a group of limestone islets known as the Malarad Island Group can be found. One can enjoy a stretch of sugary fine white beach comparable to that of Boracay, a salt water lake, and wildlife.

Matukad Island

Matukad Island is pristine or unspoiled by commercialism. It has powder-like fine white sands, and schools of fish swimming are abundant in the area. The Island also has a hidden lake inside the rock formations in the island.

Lahos Island

Lahos island has a white sandbar that connects 2 identical limestone formations. During the high tides or rainy season, the sandbar eventually disappears then leaves a smooth white sheet of sand in the middle of the 2 rocks. I also noticed that there are more big waves in this area.

Sabitang Laya

Sabitang Laya is the longest stretch of sugar-like powdery sand that extends up to 2 kilometers when combined with the shoreline from the other side. Having two long stretches of beach on one island and a vast sandy shore in between makes it a perfect place for beach camping.
