Situated in the heart of Romania, the city of Brasov benefits from the influence of an ancient history. Back from this ancient history came one the most popular and beloved tradition of Brasov - The parade of Junii Brasovului.
This celebration combines pre-Christian with Christian traditions and is celebration of a spring revival. The parade takes place on the first Sunday after Easter.
Junii Brasovului are a group of riders from the old Brasov. Dressed in traditional costumes parading through town on horseback followed by musicians and group of participants.
Some costumes are very old.. over 150 years.
During the entire journey they are surrounded by the city's residents and tourists with cheers and applause.
Junii Brasovului salute with "Christ is Risen" and spectators return greeting with "True He is risen"
