Jim Thomas

My mother inspired me to get into photography, and that is when I received my little baby blue 110mm camera when I was nine years old. On my sixteenth birthday I received a Canon Rebel SII, and that is what I used as my camera in high school

I have continued to photograph the world around me locally, and internationally. Wherever I go my camera is always with me. I never know when I will see something that I want to photograph, and its better to have my camera and not use it, then need it, and not have it. My passions are abandoned, forgotten buildings, as well as people, sports, nature, news, etc.. Pretty much any subject matter!
I think one thing that attracts me to abandoned/forgotten buildings is the fact at one time people used to live and work in the structure that time has forgotten. You can follow me on my blog at . Thank you for taking time to look at not only my photographs, but my biography as well.
