Portfolio review

I applied to a portfolio review by the South Light Salon (www.southlightsalon.com). Its members are some of the most established photographers in the USA, maybe in the world, too. They selected 8 out of all the applicants whose work they thought was worth reviewing. And I got in!!!

This was a day of firsts for me: the first portfolio I ever created (after having researched what a portfolio is because I honestly did not know), the first review and jury, the first showing at the prestigious Arts Company gallery, and the first photography dream come true. My work has been reviewed by 5 photographers and the gallery owner, we spent all day at the gallery. I won't share the details of the reviews because they were addressed to me and I consider them confidential, but I will say this: that day was one of (if not THE) the best days of my life!

Streets of Nashville

Some weekends ago I went to see/listen to a presentation by photographer Robert McCurley

(http://www.robertmccurley.com/) at The Arts Company in Nashville.

Although I did not agree with everything he said about photographing in the streets I loved his work and his passion and learned a lot from him.

After his talk all who gathered for the event hit the bricks in groups to take some photos in the streets of Nashville.
