Ventured down to Burrill Lake this morning in an attempt to photograph some Herons and Egrets. As I was finishing up I heard a Masked Lapwing alarm call. I looked up and observed a Whistling Kite circling above with the Lapwing mobbing it. It flew about and did a couple of dives to try and catch fish and then off it went. I am happy to get a shot of this species as I have seen it a number of times but always too far away. Thanks for looking.
